Preliminary treatment of new beer equipment:

3.If there is an electric steam boiler or a gas boiler, the mash boiler is heated to check whether the boiler is operating normally. Boilers are equipped with water treatment (softened water) to soften tap water and use the boiler.

Water softening effect:

Water that is not softened is easy to scale. Due to the continuous evaporation of steam, the concentration of calcium, magnesium and impurities in the water in the boiler is very high-30-50 times that of natural water. The rate of scaling is beyond imagination. It only takes half a year to a year to scale 1- 2mm. Scale is extremely harmful, and when it is serious, it can cause the boiler to burst! Comparison of thermal conductivity between scale and metal. The thermal conductivity of scale is only about 0.5% of that of metal. After the boiler is scaled, in order to achieve the thermal efficiency without scale, the temperature of the heating surface must be increased. For example, when the furnace wall temperature is 250 ℃, when the scale is 1mm, To achieve the same thermal efficiency, the wall temperature must be increased to 650 ℃, at which time the heat absorption rate is extremely low and energy consumption is increased.

The three main dangers of scale:

1. Reduce heat absorption, reduce boiler thermal efficiency, waste fuel, and increase boiler operating costs.
2. Scaling causes the temperature of the furnace wall to increase exponentially, the stress of the steel is broken, the strength is reduced, and when it is severe, it bursts, reducing the service life.
3. Affect the steam quality, make the steam contain calcium and magnesium ions, and easily cause scale and blockage of boiler accessories (safety valves, pressure gauges, etc.).

Maintenance of later mash system:

After each beer is made, use a high-pressure water gun to rinse the wall of the residual scum in the tank, and clean the mash pipeline with tap water, without residual waste. Especially if the heating tube has attached lees, clean it up quickly to prevent it from sticking to the pot again next time. After the plate heat exchanger is put into the tank, it is washed with tap water first, then backwashed, and finally blown out of the water in the plate heat exchanger with oxygen or carbon dioxide to prevent the water from becoming smelly over time. If you do not make wine for a long time, the mash system needs to be cleaned with hot alkaline water. The method is the same as the cleaning process of a new tank, especially the plate heat exchanger. The clamp connection of the pipe fittings of the mash system needs to be tightened for a period of time to prevent leakage and injury during use.

1.Frequently check whether there are foreign objects in the hopper of the crusher, check whether the fasteners on the crusher are loose, the tightness of the crusher's drive belt and the reliability of the safety protection devices. Regularly clean the roller (or grinding disc) of the crusher.
2. Regularly check whether the wiring terminal is loose, and fix it firmly.


Daily maintenance of fermentation tank:

1.Before the fermentation tank is used, a pressure-holding leak test is required. Tighten the clamp, hold the pressure with water or compressed air, the pressure gauge is 0.2MP, and the time is about one day. The value of the pressure gauge of the fermentation tank remains unchanged, indicating that there is no air leakage, and it meets the production requirements and can be used.
2. Fermentation tank cleaning. There is a cleaning ball in the fermentation tank, and the pressure of tap water must reach 0.2MP, so that the cleaning ball can rotate quickly and clean without dead angles at 360 degrees. If the pressure is not up to the requirements, add water to the mash pot and clean it with a washing pump. Water washing (tap water) → alkaline washing → pickling → hydrogen peroxide washing. When the beer in the fermentation tank is emptied, we need to clean the fermentation tank in time because the inner wall of the tank will leave the fermentation yeast mud and residual yeast residue, otherwise it will be difficult to clean it after it dries. The fermentation tank has been used for a long time, and the clamp needs to be tightened again to prevent leakage.
3. Maintenance of the solenoid valve and temperature probe of the fermentation tank. The solenoid valve power supply is 24V. It is best not to contact with water. Check the fluidity of the solenoid valve from time to time. The temperature probe is prone to condensate, so check and remove it frequently. The refrigerant pipeline should be tightened again with pipe wrenches to prevent leakage.
