20BBL Brewery fermenters characterization |
Wort is fermented and finished in specialized beer tanks called fermenters, lagering tanks and brite tanks.
Brewery fermenters
Fermentation tanks, or more commonly fermenters, are key components in beer brewing. Fermenters are specialized tanks designed to precisely control temperature and maintain the optimal conditions for fermentation, which occurs once the wort has been transferred from the brewhouse to the fermenter; a conical-bottom design is highly recommended for fermenters allowing for easier yeast harvesting.

Horizontal lagering tanks
Stacked horizontal lagering tanks are used after initial fermentation. Lagering tanks are conditioning tanks where beer is stored from 1-6 months to clarify and lager before packaging and serving.
Our Stacked Horizontal lagering Tanks are unique in design in that every tank is identical and all of our tanks can be stacked with either tank being the top or bottom. This allows expanding breweries to buy a tank today and another tank in the future with the ability to stack the new tank on top of the original tank.

Brite tanks
Brite tanks are key components in the production of beer and are primarily used to clarify and carbonate beer. Brite tanks are the final stop in the brewing process after leaving the brewhouse and fermenters. They can also be used for both the storage of finished beer for later canning, bottling, and kegging and as serving vessels allowing unpackaged beer to be poured and served directly from the brite tank.
150 degree cone brite tanks with insulation and jacket
Uni-tanks or beer fermentation tanks are multi-purpose, conical bottom beer tanks that can be used for both fermentation and maturation of beers including carbonating in tank.
