What does turnkey mean?
In the brewing industry, turnkey typically means purchasing all the equipment from one place / vendor as an integrated system A turnkey system would include: Tanks Controls Heating systems Cooling systems Brewhouse pumps Plumbing Milling equipment Keg washing and filling equipment
Why turnkey?
Mismatched parts will reduce efficiencies
Mill undersized for mash tun = lost time milling
Boiler or heating elements undersized for brew house = long or insufficient heating
Pumps undersized = long transfer times, overworking pumps
Plate chiller undersized = insufficient chilling(won't hit pitching temp)
Glycol chiller undersized for cellar = has to work harder to maintain temps
Equipment that is properly integrated and matched will function as one cohesive system without bottlenecks
