Bubble Plates Copper Distillation Equipment
Distilling is a centuries old process that simply involves bringing a charge of fermented liquid to its boiling point and collecting the vapours that fall within a certain temperature range. Distilling leverages of the fact that individual constituents within the fermented liquid boil at different temperatures and by collecting vapour within a set temperature range the distiller can extract the desired constituents and leave the rest behind.
Any ingredient that can be fermented can be distilled into a spirit, including grapes, pears, plums, sugar cane and cherries, all of which have fermentable sugars. Some ingredients, including agave, potatoes and grains, have starch that needs to be converted to sugar before they can be fermented and distilled.
Ordinary distilled liquor equipment, structural composition: distillation pot / distillation tower / condenser / CIP system / piping system.
Pot still sizes range from 300 litres to 2,000 litres, can be constructed with stainless steel and/or copper, and usually offered in a hybrid-style pot still with a wide selection of heads, bypassable multi-tray rectification columns and gin basket complete with the condenser. Customized to suite your specific spirit range.

POT STILL
The pot still is where the wash is brought to a boil where the vapors coming off the free surface are condensed as reflux back into the pot, or in the product condenser depending on whether or not the vapor being given off at a specific temperature has the traits that are desired by the distiller.
The pot still can be constructed of a combination of stainless steel and copper, all copper, or all stainless steel.
Heating options include steam jackets, steam coil, or electric element.
Full CIP functionality.
Optional agitator.
Glass manway.
Head Styles:
We offer head styles specific to the spirit or spirits that you plan to make.

Rectification Columns
As blended alcohol and water vapor rises from the pot, it enters a cool copper column. Most of the vapor condenses and falls back into the pot as reflux. Flat copper condensing plates the span the column control the pace of the process, and the taste of the product. The vapor with the highest alcohol content, and thus the lowest boiling point, continues to the outlet at the top of the column headed for either the product condenser or gin basket.
Copper construction or all stainless steel.
Multiple bubble cap tray design with replaceable components.
Sight glass and individual tray by-pass on each level.
Downcomers and full CIP on each level.

All of our columns are capped with a shell and tube style dephlegmator to give you control over the amount of reflux and also to get the column into equilibrium after start-up.

1) 100% TIG welded, Interior and exterior finish polished to sanitary finish.
2) Fully welded exterior shell.
3) All signs & wording in English.
4) All tanks will have completed inspection record, Including Test Data & Serial Number.
5) All Gaskets are manufactured with EPDM.
6) All tanks are sanitary tri-clamp connections.
7) All tanks will be pressure tested for 24 hours before leaving the factory.
