What is a Horizontal Lagering Tank?
Stacked horizontal lagering tanks are used after initial fermentation.Lagering tanks are conditioning tanks where beer is stored from 1-6 months to clarify and lager before packaging and serving.
Brewery equipment configuration: |
After an initial fermentation, beer may be conditioned in lagering tanks where it will be stored at near freezing temperatures for 1-6 months. The beer is no longer exposed to the "trub" that has settled to the bottom of the primary fermenter. The lagering process will help prevent the formation of unwanted flavors by cleaning up various chemicals, acids and compounds.
Note:
We can design and manufacture horizontal lagering tanks, customized to a brewer's dimensions and volume.
Available fermentation tanks and brite tanks
Stacked horizontal largering tanks
Side manway on the lagering tank
Stacked horizontal lagering tanks are unique in design in that every tank is identical and all of our tanks can be stacked with either tank being the top or bottom. This allows expanding breweries to buy a tank today and another tank in the future with the ability to stack the new tank on top of the original tank. We always provided you better brewery equipment for better beer.
