What is the difference between fermented liquor, brewed liquor and distilled liquor?

Most people think that the making process is very complicated, but it is not the case. The making process is a process that uses the principle of fermentation to convert sugar into alcohol. In these processes, fermentation and distillation are common making terms.

1. Fermentation

Alcohol fermentation is a process that uses yeast or other microorganisms to decompose glucose or fructose under anaerobic conditions, producing metabolites such as alcohol and carbon dioxide, and releasing a small amount of energy. Both beer producers and spirits producers need to use the principle of fermentation to place brewing materials in a closed environment, and then add yeast to convert the sugar in the raw materials into ethanol.

2. Brewing

Brewing refers to the process of making liquor through natural fermentation of grain. Using koji to ferment the raw materials into alcohol, it needs to be cooked for several weeks after fermentation to form a special color and flavor.

3. Distillation

Distilled liquor is a brewed alcohol solution that uses the boiling point of alcohol (78.5) and the boiling point of water (100) to be different, heating the original fermentation broth to between the boiling points of the two, you can collect high concentration of alcohol and aroma from it ingredient. In real life, the fermentation process is very widely used. In addition to the production of beer and distilled wine, it is also used in the production of wine and cider.
