The components of the mash system
1.Mash tun
Mash tun is a vessel used in the mashing process to convert the starches in crushed grains into sugars for fermentation. Equipped with suitable jacket and mixer to ensure temperature rise rate, avoid coking large volume, as well as wort boiling, improve the overall system’s efficiency.
2.Lauter tun
Set more suitable wort outlets accord with hydrodynamics principle, assure wort flows through piping etc. long wort collection ring, make wort collection steadily and speedily.Because after filtering the spent grains will be removed from the lauter tun, saving a lot of time and energy of the brewmaster. Furthermore the lauter tun can be equipped with additional accessories such as collect rings, backwashing rings, sight glasses, CIP jets for simplifying the lautering.
3.Boiling tun
After lautering, the beer wort is boiled with hops (and other flavourings if used) in a large tank known as brew kettle. The boiling process is where chemical and technical reactions take place,

4.Whirlpool tun
At the end of the boil, the hopped wort settles to clarify in a vessel called a "whirlpool tun" which has is a tangential inlet of wort. Thus, a vortex is formed when the wort is infused along the arc inside surface, so that the more solid particles in the wort are separated out.
Specially designed whirlpool tun bottom accord with hot trub sedimentation characteristics, combined with specially designed hot trub collection zone, can make the hot trub more closely and be discharged directly no need for washing, avoid remixing hot trub into wort when we pump the wort to PHE.
5.Hot water tank(optional)
Hot water tank, called hot liquor tank in a brewery, is the buffer tank that contains hot water that will be used to sparge the grain bed during lautering to extract a maximum of sugars out of the malt. This hot water storage tank is almost always insulated and can be heated through steam or an electric coil.
