Beer equipment introduction


Although there is hardly any official division of beer styles or types, beer styles around the world are generally recognized as different. And in each different category, there are constantly new and innovative products. The reason why I like to brew beer is because there is no strict dogma that restricts your creativity. Now, brewers all over the world are trying to create new beer flavors every day.



The beer can be broadly divided according to the fermentation method.

Upper fermentation beer(Ale): The oldest beer in the world. It is made by fermentation yeast in the warm environment at top of fermentation tank . It is characterized by fruit flavor, earthy flavor and diverse colors.

Lower fermentation beer (Lager ): a refreshing golden beer. It accounts for the majority market of beer consumption today. It is made by yeast fermentation at low temperature at the bottom of fermentation tank

The difference between the two technologies is only the fermentation temperature and yeast work. The position of the upper fermentation beer yeast works at the top of the fermentation tank, the temperature is 18-20 degrees, the lower fermentation beer yeast works at the bottom of the fermentation tank, the temperature is 8-12 degree



Beer production

Technology of beer production includes the following stages:

- Malt milling - the germination of cereal grains (usually barley), drying and cleaning of germs,

- Mashing - malt is ground and mixed with water. The mixture then becomes sweet taste,

- Mash lautering - After mashing,pump wort to lauter tank and separate wort from malt suger,get clear wort,

- Wort boiling - the wort with hops, and other ingredients, cooked for 1-2 hours,

- Clarification of the wort - wort is pumped into a whirlpool to remove insoluble residues of barley and hops,

- Cooling and aeration of wort - Wort flow into plate heat exchanger, cooling to required fermentation temperature, then add yeast and oxygen to ferment.

- Fermentation - Fermentation is to convert maltose in wort into carbon dioxide through the effect of yeast and produce various flavor substances . After a certain period of fermentation, it becomes a mature fermentation liquid, also known as "fresh beer".

- Filtering - beer is filtered from the remnants of yeast,

- Pasteurization - some beers are pasteurized - heated to a temperature of 68-72 ° C, for longer storage.
