Beer brewhouse introduction

DEGONG beer brewhouse system can be designed according to different brewing requirements of customers. If you brew high-concentration/gravity beer, more malt is needed compared with low-concentration beer. In this case, we will increase the diameter of mash/lauter tank of beer brewhouse to increase filtration efficiency.


Normally,the 2-vessels 500L beer Brewhouse consists of two special tanks: Mash-Lauter tun (M-L) and Kettle-Whirlpool tun (K-W). Both tanks are able for heating, which gives brewers multiple opportunities to mash with different brewing method.

 


Heating System

The source of heat is the heart of your brewhouse. Whether electric, steam, or direct/indirect fire is the best for your brewery depends on a range of factors. Your beer brewhouse size, the available utilities, and the initial and ongoing costs all need to be considered when deciding on a heat source.

 

1.Electric heating method:

Electric heating is nearly 100% efficient. Because the heating element is submersed in the strike water or wort, all of the heat energy is transmitted directly to the liquid, not lost to heating your brewery

Precise control for a high level of repeatability and automation

2.Steam heating method:

Used for larger brewhouses

Higher efficiency and full uniform heating

Larger heating surface area

Ideal for spaces with limited electrical power


3.Direct fire heating

For some areas,the electric and steam using is limited,so they will choose the direct fire heating method.Because they don't require a boiler, they come with a lower up-front equipment and installation cost compared to steam.
